A large pile of wood chips is in the middle of a yard in front of a house.

  • Does stump grinding leave a hole in my yard?

Stump grinding could leave a hole, but we do our best to fill it in with the grindings left over from the stump leaving the area as level as possible. Stumps generally produce more grindings than is necessary to fill the hole, therefore Bionic Beaver offers removal of grindings and debris.

The most common reasons for stump grinding are; aesthetics, tripping hazards, and tired of mowing around the stump.

  • Can I just leave my stump to rot in the yard?

You could, but depending on the size, conditions, and variety of tree you had, it can take as long as 15-20 years to decompose! Additionally, it can be a trip hazard, unsightly, and a breeding ground for insects (especially termites and ants, etc…)
